Strawberry Jalapeño Maragrita

Today we went to Canterbury to celebrate my brother-in-laws birthday. If you read my previous post, you know that for a pre-made mix trackside, I really enjoyed the margaritas. Today's weather was perfect (85, sunny, with a cool breeze) so I enjoyed two while I was also enjoying the races. But this post isn't about a margarita I've already had. Since we were out for a birthday celebration, we stopped for dinner after a day at the races. Tonight's dinner was a random stop at The Tavern Grill in Edina.

I ate a burger I created myself (one of their most famous options) and it was delicious. Again, this isn't about the burger! Along with my burger I had a Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita. I was informed when I ordered it that it was delicious but I wouldn't be able to order it as described. They were out of the jalapeño/grapefruit vodka. The server informed me that she could muddle the jalapeños right in and that it should taste great. I was really happy with my choice. I've had strawberry margaritas at MANY other locations in my life.... this one was the freshest strawberry margaritas I've ever had! I really enjoy a spicy kick to my margaritas so the added jalapeño taste was great. I was disappointed again when I asked for no salt on the rim and it came with salt, but I can overlook it. 

If you get a chance to head out to The Tavern Grill in Edina, give their Strawberry Jalapeño margarita a try. Its sweet and mildly spicy taste will be sure to please.
